The Liverpool's accent comes from the people around Liverpool's port. Liverpool was a melting port of people from all over the world. The major influence comes from
Irish inmigrants and the
Welsh coming to the city. The mixing of different accents and dialects forms the Liverpudlian's accent.
Liverpudlians are called
scousers, so scouse accent is instantly recognisable.
Scouse was a stew (a fish and potatoes dish) eaten by sailors. Over the years it became a popular working-class dish made of meat, if you were lucky, or if not just with vegetables.
