Hoot's Route in Chester

Today we have decided to explore Chester using a map. With this map we had to find some typical relics which were used by Romans when they lived there. The owls lived with them in that time so this route is called "Hoot's Route" (Ruta de Ulular).
It was a challenge for us because we had to ask people the right directions to find the artefacts and the owls.

This is an example of a typical English day because it was raining. It was not very heavy it was drizzeling.

1. First we went to "The Hat Place" where there was a hat made in 1920's.

2. Then we went to "Pied Bull" which is a pub, where we saw some Post Medieval Pewter Tankards which would have been used to drink beer.

3. Later we visited Chester Cathedral where we found some Roman and Medieval locks and keys. We also saw an exihibition about "Alice in Wonderland"

4. After that, we went to a shop called "Lakeland" where we saw some Roman cooking vessels. There were some interesting gadgets to cook with.

5. After that we went to a bridal shop called "Chester Bridal" where we saw a pair of Victorian wedding shoes. There were a lot of beautiful bridal dresses.

6. Later we visited "Harriet and Dee" where we could see some Roman broches.

7. Later we went to a sofa shop called "Sofa Workshop", where there were Post Medieval wood working tools. The sofas looked very comfortable and luxurious.

8. Later we visited "Corks Out", it was a shop where botttles of wines were sold. We saw a wine storage collection. The shopman asked us where we were from. He was so friendly.

9. After that, we went to a shop called "Edinburgh Woollen Mill" where there were some Saxon and Medieval wool tools. In this shop they sold typical woollen clothes from Scotland. The owl had a parachute.

10. Then we visited "Waterstones" where we saw a Medieval book clasp.

11. After that, we went to a shop called "Penhaligon's" where there were some Victorian perfume bottles. This shop was very dark and narrow.
